Digital Engagement Specialist

The Role

The position holder works closely with the Executive Manager (Digital and Corporate Communications) and other key stakeholders with a focus on introducing and developing innovative website experiences, human-centred website design and analysis of website data.

The appointee to this role will assume responsibility for creating new landing pages, maintaining and updating website content, monitoring and optimising website performance, and managing website functionality and appearance.  Key deliverables include:

• Creation of high quality, shareable website/digital content with a view to raising brand awareness
• Engagement of sector and policy making audiences through the curation of website/digital content that is relevant, innovative and responsive to the organisational and community needs
• Optimise user experience (UX), technical performance and search engine performance of Better Place’s website(s)
• Monitor web traffic and other metrics and prepare bi-monthly status reports

Required Qualifications and Experience

Prospective candidates will possess extensive experience in a similar role with demonstrable experience in designing and creating websites and digital products. Highly developed computer and literacy and systems proficiency is required together with depth of experience in contemporary digital marketing platforms.  Proficiency in digital marketing, online community engagement and a deep understanding of social media metrics is also essential.  Other essential criteria include excellent technical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and highly developed written and verbal communication skills.  A proven ability to function effectively with a high degree of autonomy will be well regarded.  The ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions will be a distinct advantage.

This position is based in our Cheltenham Head Office on a full time basis
